LED Power Supply - Stromversorgung

Description

LED Power Supply - Electric Sources
    LED Stromversorgung - Spannungsquellen

Normally all LEDs get supplied with Direct Current (DC). There are two ways to safely control the operation of LEDs:

1. Constant Voltage (V) and
2. Constant Current (mA).

1. Constant Voltage (CV): Most CV operated LEDs are running on 12V or on 24V. Normally CV-Systems must be installed in parallel to ensure the correct voltage on all systems components (connect all (+) poles together and all (-) poles together). Some products may look like being installed in series (e.g. LuxLine or FlexiLux) but there the constant Voltage has a separate Lead behind the LEDs. Do never exceed the maximum connected Power to the Power Supply in a CV-System (risk of overheat and damage)!

1. Konstant-Spannung (V) and
2. Konstant-Strom (mA).

1. Konstant-Spannung (engl. Voltage => CV): Die meisten CV betriebenen LEDs laufen auf 12V or 24V.

2. Constant Current (CC): CC operated LEDs can be running in a range of typically 300-1000mA depending on their specification. Be sure to install correct constant Current to ensure long life and to avoid overheat. CC installations must normally be done in series - connecting the input of the next LED to the output of the previous LED. CC-Systems normally adjust the Voltage to the number of LEDs installed. Do not exceed or undergo the max./min. number of LEDs in a CC-System. Caution - High Voltage possible - LEDs may get destroyed!

  Typische Konstant-Spannungs Stromquelle

2. Konstant-Strom (engl.

Please note: Normal 'Switching Powersupplies' are NOT dimmable by Phase-cutting (Switsch at 230V).

onlog has an assortment of specially prepared Power-Supplies that may be dimmed directly from a switch. In more complex systems however, we recommend to use an external Dim-Controller.
